Peter Sinn Nachtrieb is a San Francisco-based playwright whose works include boom (TCG's most produced play 2009-10), T.I.C. (Trenchcoat In Common), Hunter Gatherers (2007 ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award, 2007 Will Glickman Award), Colorado, and Multiplex. His work has been seen off-Broadway and across the country including at Ars Nova, Summer Play Festival, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Seattle Repertory, Actors Theatre of Louisville, San Diego Rep, Kitchen Dog, and in the Bay Area at A.C.T., Encore Theatre, Killing My Lobster, Marin Theatre Company, Impact Theatre, and the Bay Area Playwrights Festival. His newest plays are BOB, (2011 Humana Festival for New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville), and Litter: the True Story of the Framingham Dodecutuplets (A.C.T. premiere 2011). Currently he's working on a commission through the National New Play Network and New Dramatists Full Stage USA program, as well as an original musical. Peter holds a degree in Theater and Biology from Brown and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. He's a member of New Dramatists and an alumni resident playwright at the Playwrights Foundation, San Francisco. He often works at the Z Space Studio in San Francisco. Colorado

Synopsis:
"I WANT TO USE THIS CROWN TO CHANGE the WORLD! If I can just change one life, one little insignificant life, I think it will justify the beauty that God has given me. So ends the victory speech of 17-year old Tracey Ackhart upon her coronation as Miss Late Teen Colorado. A day before the national pageant in Virginia Beach, Tracey disappears, hurling the rest of her family into disarray. Grace and Ron, Tracey's mismatched parents, differ in the way they cope. Travis, Tracey's awkward, sexually awakening younger brother, is unsure how to feel about a sister who ruthlessly tormented him. the ties of family begin to fray, flashbacks uncover mystery, and startling discoveries and revelations hurtle the entire family towards an emotional abyss. Darker memories emerge, nervous breakdowns erupt, and the cause of Tracey's disappearance is uncovered. Colorado is a sharp, dark comedy tinged with tragedy. It's a play about disappointment American-style, the dreams of a family, and the traps set to keep those dreams far, far away.

Synopsis:

Multiplex

Synopsis:
A multiplex movie theater somewhere in America, on any given night, showing any given Hollywood film. In attendance: a solitary man holding too many snacks, an unhappily married couple, two high school dudes, co-opting hip hop culture, a pair of cynical office co-workers, and a gothically dressed girl who is also possessed by a vengeful God.
