Terry Newman came into writing, whilst still working as a biomedical research scientist, via sketch comedy for the BBC and Channel 4; working with some of the top names in UK Comedy. Diversifying into writing for the theatre his award-winning plays led to him becoming Writer in Residence at the Canal Cafe Theatre. He began working in television programme development and was invited to design a course in scriptwriting for the University of Brighton. He now works full time as a scriptwriter, editor and tutor and has two feature films optioned and in development.
