Teddy Nicholas is a playwright and director from Queens, New York. He was a founding member of the New York based theater company Everywhere Theatre Group and a 2007-08 Dixon Place HOT! Festival Artist. His plays have been seen at HERE Arts Center, INTAR (American Nightcap), The Wild Project (Fresh Fruit Festival), Space on White (Snowballs Festival), Dixon Place, The New Ohio Theater (Ice Factory Festival), The Brick Theater, Ars Nova (ANT Festival), the Ontological-Hysteric Theater/Incubator Arts Project, 3-Legged Dog Technology and Art Center (Ohio Interrupted @ 3LD/Soho Think Tank) and Little Theatre. He is currently a member of Glass Bandits Theater Company's PlayGroup and a Box Office Treasurer at The Broadhurst Theatre. Teddy has stage managed and toured internationally with Young Jean Lees Theater Company with The Shipment (Brooklyn Arts Exchange, NY; Wexner Center for the Arts, OH; The Kitchen, NY; Kunstenfestival des Arts, BE) and assisted stage managed CHURCH (Under The Radar Festival 08 at The Public Theater). He also stage managed Cynthia Hopkins' The Truth: A Tragedy (Soho Rep), Thomas Bradshaws Southern Promises (PS122), Betty Shamieh's The Strangest (HERE Arts Center/New Dramatists), Eliza Bents She of the Voice (Undergroundzero Festival at PS122), Tommy Smiths The Break-Up & Ken Urbans The Happy Sad (The Flea Theater), Taylor Macs OKAY and Anne Washburns October/November (Ensemble Studio Theatre). He holds a B.A. in Drama Studies from Purchase College.
