Educating Ronnie
Synopsis:
When Joe was 18 he went to Uganda, a typical Gap year kid. He whitewater rafted the Nile, went on safari, taught in an orphanage - ticked all the boxes. He made a lot of friends. Little did he know that one friendship would follow him for ten years, all the way back to Manchester and beyond. Educating Ronnie is a semi-autobiographical show about the relationship between Joe and Ronnie. It tells the story of Joe financially supporting Ronnie's education in Uganda, over a number of years. It explores what can happen when trying to bridge the 6000-mile gap and how good intentions can easily become guilty burdens.

Pause With A Smile
Synopsis:
Have you heard the story of the farmer's wife who lost her wedding ring only to find it forty years later inside a potato? Or the story of Martha whose first three husbands were all killed by lightning? Coincidences happen every day - some funny, some tragic, some undeniably cliche - but all make us stop to consider the possibilities.
