Peter Nixon has written and produced plays, particularly for children aged between 9 and 13, for many years. His plays include subjects based on legend (the Pride of Agamemnon, which tells the story of the lead up to as well as the aftermath of the Trojan War), classic books (the Hobbit) and stories (Mister Corbett's Ghost), as well as a number of shorter plays (William the Bigamist). He is now a Deputy Head teaching in Kent.

Say Goodbye To Satchwell Road
Synopsis:
A musical Drama which explores the experience of the 1939 evacuation, its effects upon a group of London schoolchildren from a range of different backgrounds, and upon the Norfolk adults and children on whom they are billeted. the play culminates in a pantomime 'Nativity Play' with contemporary references (including and Angel who is Chamberlain, and a Herod who is Hitler) in which the characters attempt to come to terms with their situation and the impending reality of war.
