        Broadway Angels

Broadway Angels

There has been a convent and school on a plot of land in Vermont for many years. It is run by a group of Dominican nuns. The greedy cardinal plans to sell it for redevelopment and move the nuns to Buffalo. The nuns appalled that they will loose their beautiful school and convent pray to their patron saint - Archangel Michael. Michael goes with Archangel Gabriel to see God. God gives them a number of lottery tickets which will all be winners. He tells them to give them to the nuns and when they win they are to buy a theatre on Broadway. Both Michael and Gabriel do not think this a good idea and to punish them God makes them mortal. As mortals they have problems persuading the nuns about the lottery tickets and they end up in jail. Where they find the Devil is their cell mate. The Devil is pleased he can now have his revenge on the two ex-archangels. Meanwhile the nuns discover that the lottery tickets are real and they buy the theatre - but there is a clause in the lease they must stage a show once a year
