Peter became musical director of the Fatfield Junior Operatic Society (now the Rainbow Youth Theatre) in 1996. He then became Director-Chairman of the Washington Theatre Group from 2000 to 2005. He wrote, directed and produced his first stage show at the age of 26, a musical called 'Dark Heart', which was first staged by the Washington Theatre Group in 2001 and again in 2003.

Cinderella and the Pantomime Thief

Dark Heart
Synopsis:
Eyre, a curious human, took a drink from the cursed cup of souls. the elements combined to force him to walk the earth for eternity as a vampire trapping the souls of his victims inside the poisoned chalice. For Olivia, a beautiful human, a year has passed since she lost her love and she speaks to him from the top of a building. Eyre sees her plight and falling instantly in love, persuades her not to jump. Unable to reveal his true form, he visits her dreams every night. the show is written in modern-Shakespearean rhyming prose and contains humour, musical interludes and songs.

Mother Holle

Snow White and the Curse of the Ice Queen
Synopsis:
the Ice Queen wants to consolidate her hold on the kingdom by marrying Prince Charming. To do that, she has to get rid of Snow White. Unfortunately for her, she picks the Prince's brother - who she has transformed into a hobgoblin to finish the job - and after that it's just a matter of getting the right people to do the right things. (As if they would!)
Notes:
he dwarves Are under A curse which makes them All over 5 feet tall (making the show easier to produce than the classic tale would be). Also there Are only 4 dwarves instead of 7 (also to make the show easier to produce) And this is explained when Snow White Asks Jolly, "there Are only 4 of you, I though you said 7" And he replies, "Yes, the other three Are bashful".
