Foxes

Synopsis:
Set in the Little London area of Leeds, Foxes is a tender, heart-warming modern day romance. Living in a Little London tower block, hard-working Loretta lives with her brother Garth who is more interested in filling the living room walls with comic book characters than going to school. Eric lives next door with his Father and three other asylum seekers, desperately trying to evade deportation and survive on low-paid, menial jobs, Foxes tells the human story of the meeting of these worlds and how ignorance, bitterness and lack of empathy and understanding can be a dangerous combination.

My Generation

Synopsis:
Passionate and willing to fight, Mick, Cath, Ben and Emma are a family living in Leeds. Mostly they fight for what they believe in; sometimes they fight with each other. Political tensions, family relationships and social responsibility are set against a backdrop of the Yorkshire Ripper, radical feminism, the miners' strike and music festivals. MY GENERATION is the portrait of a city, a family and an exploration of how oppositional politics has changed in Britain over the last 40 years all played out to an explosive soundtrack.

Where's Vietnam

Where's Vietnam
1968 and the sexual revolution is stuck in a traffic jam just outside Leeds, but two brothers are about to see beyond the city's narrow perimeters. A fan of the Kray twins, Banks proudly models himself on Reggie Kray and pushes his gentle giant of a brother, Arthur, into the subservient role of Ronnie. As they hitch their way down the M1 they find a shifting cast of characters, offering everything from fish paste sandwiches to balloon based sex.

Notes:
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of this Leeds-based company Where's Vietnam?, written by Alice Nutter (Foxes), has a soundtrack of sixties soul and dirty funk played live on stage. This is a black comedy about love, loyalty and not letting disability stand in the way of extreme violence.
