Farmer Wants A Wife, The
Synopsis:
When elderly bachelor Frank Bryson inherits money and a farm from his Uncle Davy, he decides to follow a family pattern and stay single. With no family of his own, everything will be left for inheritance in due course to his own nephew, John. But John is unhappy at this; impatient to marry his sweetheart Margaret and settle down, he decides to emigrate to Australia and earn to carry out his plans. Margaret herself has plans, however, and refuses to wait at home for an emigrant. Instead, she tries to force the issue by changing the established family patterns, and little by little others begin to share her opinion.

Sparrows Fall, The : A New Ulster Play
Synopsis:
Obsessive, controlling teacher Rosina Sweeney exercises rigid authority over her primary school pupils in a small town Catholic school, believing that the sins of the Father should be visited on their children. When Nellie Donovan, daughter of a Catholic convert, inadvertently breaks Miss Sweeney's rules over the length of a confirmation dress, the incident becomes the catalyst for a series of far larger events, spiralling until the whole community is involved in the dispute.
