Goldie McJohn is a playwright but has not had that much success. His wife is eight month a pregnant and he is on the point of giving up. Then he is approached by the prestigious group Lawdy Mama Theater Company to write something for them and if it is a success he will become a permanent writer for them. One of the actors is determined to undermine the production, the director is insane and there is a power hungry restaurateur
