Ivan Olivares was born in Mexico City in 1973, is a graduate of the UNAM and has worked as an actor, director, teacher and designer as well as a playwright. He began as a writer of children's theatre and won the 2002 FILJJ Award for Best Children's Playwright. Seven-Eleven is his first play for adults. His plays for children include From A-Z, Alice in Sewerland, Little Miss Mozart and Stories in Bed to Ring Bells and Reach the Moon. He currently works as a Spanish accent coach for actors and scriptwriters for Colombian television.
