Jonas Oppenheim's plays have been seen in New York at La MaMa, PS122, Ontological-Hysteric, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Brecht Forum, Ohio Theatre, and Zuccotti Park; in Los Angeles at Sacred Fools, the Freud Theater, 24th St. Theater, Highways, Luckman Arts Complex, Theatre of NOTE, Miles Playhouse, Art|Works, and EST-LA; and in backyards, basements, parks, parking lots, and presidential conventions around the U.S. His work has received multiple L.A. Weekly Awards, and he is the recipient of the Peterson Emerging Playwright Award and the John Golden Playwriting Prize. He has appeared in disguise on Fox News and been reviewed by the Secret Service. He currently serves as co-artistic director of Sacred Fools Theater Company, is a guest artist and teacher with the Virginia Avenue Project, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the L.A. Stage Alliance.
