A faithful retellin of the Emily Bronte novel which follows Jane's life from her childhhod as a bookish girl bullied by her cousins. Through her unhapy schooldays to her life as a governess in the house of the enigmatic Mr. Rochester. they fall in love but on their wedding day it is revealed that he is already married to the mad woman living in the attic. Jane flees and is about to marry a missionary and leave England forever when she hears of a fire at Mr Rochester's house. His legal wife has died and he is now blind and crippled. After an emotional reunion Jane marries him.
