Blind
Synopsis:
Blind is a one-woman show performed by the UK's leading female beat-boxer Grace Savage and devised and directed by The Paper Birds Theatre Company. Acting as a mouth-piece for young women today Grace Savage offers the most unlikely of musicals as she explores the life, journey and experiences of a visually impaired young woman and a world encountered through darkness and light, whispers and lullabies, sirens, screams, party political broadcasts and storms. A collage of fragments of sounds from the world we live in, Blind explores the things young women overhear, that they are told by their mothers, learn in the school playground or in the pop charts. An interrogation into the influences on young women today Blind explores the songs, sounds and statements that our world is making and asks how they can affect who we become.
