Simon Paul spent most of his leisure time in his late teens and early twenties with a youth theatre group. During that period he acted, directed, stage managed and learnt to turn improvisation into pieces of theatre. In 2008 he became a founding member of the Southfields Theatre Group in SW London. He wrote and directed the group's first show, a pantomime version of Cinderella. He is still active with the group having subsequently acted in one show and provided the technical support and sound and light for two others. He works during the day as a business adviser and lives in Southfields.
