Julian Perkins has recently had an episode of Casualty transmitted and is about to embark on another commission. He has several projects in development with TV and Radio, including a 90 minute drama and a comedy drama series. Julian was one of the lead writers for The Bill. He has written 38 episodes in the Hour format - storylining the "Serial Killer" strand; and 12 episodes in the previous half-hour format (including two Special Hour-length episodes and a two-parter). His episode, Feet of Clay,received excellent reviews notably in The Guardian. Having completed a contract for 27 episodes of EastEnders, Julian was sole writer on the high-profile, 4-parter EastEnders "Mathew and Steve Murder Trial", which received that year's highest audience figure of over 21 million viewers. He was also responsible for the Hour Special celebrating the 15th anniversary. Amongst Julian's many commissions are episodes of Murphy's Law, Murder in Suburbia, the final episode of MIT, Series 1, and Grafters; he also wrote a number of episodes for Byker Grove. His portfolio includes a 60 minute feature film, "Back Into the Wild", which was in development with World. Julian has worked with, and been commissioned by, the BBC Comedy Dept., Hartswood Films, Thames TV, Talkback and Showrunner (Paul Marquess). He has received commissions for numerous theatre and radio productions, including the much-acclaimed "Images of Tiffin", winning several awards; and "Appropriate Channels" for Alan Ayckbourn.
