Clan of the Quillins, The
Synopsis:
An epic tale in twelve scenes with no scenery, set in Scotland, Ireland and the New World of the 17th Century, based on a legend in the author's family. A grant of land, a broken romance, a blood feud, a grand adventure, and fate -- which always makes certain each of us will have to shoulder at least one unique burden in life -- the one most difficult for each of us to bear. Mother MacQuillin
Synopsis:
A mother and her four daughters on a top of a hill in northwestern Georgia, 1863. A major Civil War battle breaks out about twenty miles away, a battle in which they have a husband, brother and son fighting. That night a wounded Yankee cavalry captain stumbles into their yard and they capture and chain him to a log. His presence, as well as the outcome of the battle, brings all their conflicts and fears to a boil. A play about the will to survive after life not only pushes you down, but insults you as well. Single unit set.

Othaniel Day Jones, a tragedy
Synopsis:
A telling in a Greek tragic style the O.J. Simpson story. On the day he returns home from being declared not guilty his cousin tries to convince him he must confess and atone in order to regain his stature, while his best friend insists he not. That night he is visited by the ghost of his murdered wife, who drives him mad with remorse. A play about the regaining of honor in a world that knows no shame, told in strict tragic form, with high key dialogue approaching verse. Simple set.

Women of a Certain Age
Synopsis:
Three inter-connected one acts about two women trying to come to terms with a world they hardly recognize. In Funeral for a Friend plans are made to mate the husband of a recently deceased friend. In A Night on the Moon a hired male escort comes between two old friends during a night on the town. In the Poison Party a botox get together goes seriously awry when jealousy and alcohol fuel accusations and recriminations. Women of a Certain Age is about two people trying to find a place in a world that no longer values them. Simple sets.
