Synopsis:
Welsh coal miner Rhys Davies has seventeen children he wants to have 21 but as his wife has died he must find a new bride so that he can achieve this. His step daughter Jenny Jones leaves the valley. She returns some years later with enough money for her boyfriend to stage an opera he has written

Lisbon Story, The
Synopsis:
Wartime Paris. British Foreign Office official David Warren is transferred to Washington D C. He leaves behind his lover the singer Gabrielle Girard. Gabrielle travels to Lisbon. There she meets David who is there to help a French professor and his daughter get to London. The professor is captured by the Germans under Von Schriner. Von Schriner tells Gabrielle that if she becomes his mistress he will let the professor go
