Notes:
Part of: JB Shorts 3 is the third in An ongoing series of short plays which take place in the Joshua Brooks pub in central Manchester. It Attracts top local Actors And writers, many of whom have cut their writing teeth in television And, in particular, in soap operas. This batch of six is made up of comedies of which some have A more dramatic premise but All of which evoked much laughter from the packed cellar bar which has been transformed into A tiny playing Area. There is minimal staging but Adroit use of Appropriate props.

Synopsis:
Headingley Carnegie. July 2013. Ace Yorkshire batsman Rick Fielding has been called up at the eleventh hour to represent his country against the old enemy: Australia. The problem is that whilst Rick is a superstar of 'Twenty20' cricket, he's never played a test match in his life. Can he possibly squeeze in a match winning innings between a celebrity photo shoot for Hello' and the quarter finals of Strictly Come Dancing?
