Synopsis:
As the Twin Towers collapse on 9/11/01, two very different people meet on their way over the Brooklyn Bridge. Martin is a 50-ish businessman, who worked in one of the towers and managed to escape. But does he want to tell his family he's okay? Denise is a New Jersey working-class Latina who has come into the city to surprise her boyfriend by accepting his marriage proposal. While she wonders if her boyfriend survived and he wonders if he wants to return to his failing marriage or use the event to start a new life, they console each other, and give each other hope.

Cold Day in the Park
Synopsis:
Kate waits at the zoo on a chilly day. Her boyfriend, who wanted her to meet him there, is late, as usual, and hasn't called, as usual. So she uses the time to engage in conversation with an (unseen) animal in the cage in front of her. She confides her doubts about the relationship to the creature. And near the end of the 15 minute play, her boyfriend finally arrives - with an excuse for being late that turns the whole relationship around.

Found Objects
Synopsis:
A family Drama told through the eyes of the daughter, Chloe, a senior in high school. In a series of 2-hander scenes of different combinations of characters, we learn of Chloe's mother, Patricia, the owner of a chic gallery in downtown San Francisco; of her lover, David, who is also the artist keeping the gallery alive financially; and of Patricia's husband Martin, a foreign correspondent for a cable news network. Using a combination of live stage action and videotaped sequences (as Chloe is creating a documentary on her family for school), we come to understand the relationships between these four characters and the secrets and lies that go back into their history.

Hotel, Poststrasse
Synopsis:
Karen and Mickey, a thirtysomething couple from Los Angeles, find themselves in a hotel room in Bonn, Germany. they are there to bury Mickey's mother. they are jet-lagged and can't sleep, and as dawn comes up over the city, they begin to discover how fragile their relationship is, and what, in Mickey's past, truly threatens to end the relationship. A very minimal-dialogue, Pinteresque play, where silences are at least as important as the words.

How to Chop Wood
Synopsis:
the play takes place in Louisiana, near the Arkansas border. Julia, a farm woman in her 40s, sits on the porch, worrying about her daughter, serving in Iraq, and about the state of the world in general. Her best friend, Mirabelle, comes by and the two talk about each other, their dreams, their marriages, and their history, as, offstage, Julia's husband chops down trees.

Luther is the condemned man, African-American, 50-ish, spending his last hour in a cell on death row. Wilson is the white guard, thirtysomething, who watches him. they have known each other for some years during Luther's incarceration, and they have formed a kind of bond. This play about an unusual, and limited, friendship, explores themes about capital punishment, whether all killings are created equal, and whether the soul of the prisoner, and the soul of the executioner, can be saved.

Reunion

When the Dead Weep
Synopsis:
the play has the feel of L.A. film noir and is accompanied by smoky jazz. Tommy is a young, pugnacious housebreaker, being grilled by the police about the most unusual thing he's ever found at a house he's broken into. David is a Hollywood screenwriter, sleepless and obsessed. Sara is a 16 year old student delivering a school paper to her class. What these people have in common, and the David Lynch-like story that unfolds, comes out through their intertwined monologues.
