Lisa Rafferty has been producing and directing plays and musicals for years in Boston, Los Angeles and the New York area. As a mom of three, she uses writing as therapy for her comedies The MOMologues, MOMologues2: Off to School, and MOMologues3: The Final Push. The shows, which she wrote with Stefanie Cloutier and Sheila Eppolito, premiered in New England and have appeared around the United States. Dutch and Belgium versions have played to sold out tours of European moms who need a laugh. Writing humor also helped with the show she wrote with two other breast cancer survivors, Jane McGovern and Pam Ahl - The MOMologues: Pink Ribbon Overdose. By day, Lisa teaches theater at Bridgewater State University and attempts to keep her sanity intact amidst the three teenagers, two dogs and her long suffering husband. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.

MOMologues 3: The Final Push
At long last, the dreaded teen years have been captured with the usual MOM hilarity with MOMologues 3: The Final Push. Responding to pleas from moms who saw the first two shows, the writers understood that comedy would abound as they experienced their own torment and terror as the moms of teenagers. From the list of parenting fails to the Seven Dwarves of the puberty years: Surly, Grumpy, Moody, Sulky, Secretive, Fresh and Spoiled, this play captures the laughs and tears of motherhood again. Four separate characters tell their individual stories, either directly to the audience in monologues, in scenes with each other or in the always popular round robin of 'things Moms Say.'

MOMologues, The
This original comedy about motherhood rips away the gauzy mask of parenthood to reveal what all mothers know but don't always talk about: it's overwhelming and exhausting, but also very, very funny. Mothers everywhere can relate to the labor stories, the frustration of a simple trip to the store, the quest to connect with other mothers - and everyone will laugh hystErically at this tribute to "the toughest job you'll ever love."
