Jeremy Raison is a writer and director working across film, television and theatre.. Jeremy is the author of more than 30 plays including The Rain Gathering (National Theatre, Traverse, Radio 4), The Sound of My Voice (Citizens, Assembly), Blitz (Traverse), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Sadlers Wells, national touring), Don Juan (Citizens), Heart and Soul (Chester Gateway), Wake Me In the Morning (Oran Mor), Therese Raquin (Citizens), Jumping Jack Flash (Liverpool Everyman), Savage Britannia (National Theatre Studio, Mandela), A Distant Shore (National Theatre Studio), Wee Fairy Tales (Citizens, national touring), Once Upon A Time (Chester Gateway) and A Child of Europe (Theatre Workshop). He was Artistic Director of the Glasgow Citizens Theatre for seven years during which time the company was nominated for seventy three awards and toured work to Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa, Germany and the USA, as well as the West End. He also ran Chester Gateway Theatre for which he won the TMA/Stage Award for Outstanding Achievement in Regional Theatre. Other awards and nominations include the Marrakech Film Festival Gold Star, Manchester Evening News Best Touring Production, Liverpool Post and Echo Best Production (twice), BBC Radio 4 Young Playwrights Awards, Plays and Players Best Children's Play Award, Real to Reel Best International Short Film and a CATS Award for Best Production for Children and Young People.

Synopsis:
Blitz! looks at the Clydebank Blitz and the evacuation of a group of children. Telling the stories of those who are evacuated to the countryside with mixed results, it also explores the legacy of the bombings which destroyed whole families.

Therese Raquin
Zola's classic tale given thrillingly theatrical treatment in a version that was acclaimed on its premiere at Glasgow Citizens Theatre in 2004. Therese is already married to her sickly cousin, Camille, when worldly Laurent is invited into her home. Murder brings Laurent and Therese together. It also tears them apart. Zola's novel has been much imitated, but never bettered.
