Yasmine's plays have been presented in the United States and abroad, notably La MaMa E.T.C (The War Zone is My Bed premiere), New Stages Performing Arts Center in the Berkshires (Blood Sky for International Women's Month), Write Act Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles (Los Angeles premiere of The War Zone is My Bed), The Looking Glass Theatre of NY (Blood Sky and Paradise premieres), Johns Hopkins University Theatre (Returning premiere), Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey, Museum of Modern Art Warsaw, TR Warszawa, Tara Arts Theatre and New Diorama Theatre of London, Birmingham Repertory Theatre (UK). Publications include The Alabama Literary Review, The Best Women's Monologues and The Best Stage Scenes (Smith and Kraus Publishers), Blackbird, The Kenyon Review, TDR: The Drama Review, and The Contemporary European Idea. Translations include the Romanian-language volume Cinci Piese de Teatru. Seagull Books' In Performance series published The War Zone is My Bed and Other Plays in 2011. The anthology which includes Blood Sky, Returning, and Paradise was reviewed in the spring 2013 issue of Slavic and East European Journal. Awards include a Paulette Goddard Fellowship from New York University and a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship in Playwriting from the Sewanee Writers Conference at the University of the South. Yasmine was a finalist for La MaMa Experimental Theatre's inaugural Ellen Stewart Award. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Yasmine serves as Writer in Residence at T. Schreiber Studios in New York which produced The Fallen in 2013 and will produce a revival of Blood Sky in 2014. She was selected to participate in the New Jersey Emerging Women Playwrights Project at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey which is developing her latest play, Another Spring.
