Wayne S. Rawley, called "Seattle's Late-Night Wunderkind" by the Seattle Weekly, is the creator and writer of Money & Run: An Action Adventure Serial for the Stage. To date, over 20 individual productions have appeared in Seattle, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Other full-length plays includeGod Damn Tom, Live! From the Last Night of My Life (commissioned by ACT in Seattle), and a present-day adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. His multimedia adaptation of George Orwell's1984 had its world premiere at The Empty Space Theater and was directed by Allison Narver. Of his many short plays, his favorite,Controlling Interest, has been produced all over the world, including The Actors Theatre of Louisville as a finalist for the National Ten-Minute Play Contest. Controlling Interest, now published by Playscripts, Inc., was earlier published by Random House in the collection Laugh Lines: Short Comic Plays, edited by Eric Lane and Nina Shengold. Mr. Rawley is also the creator and head writer of a brand new live-action web series calledWhat The Funny? Season 1 is currently in production by Caution-Zero Network. While still in Seattle, he taught playwriting through ACT's Young Playwrights Program and at his alma mater, Cornish College of the Arts. He is currently hard at work on the libretto of a new musical and lives in Santa Monica with the love of his life and her cat. He is pretty sure that "Wunderkind" is German for "Wonder Kid."
