Rob Reese was born in Nashville, Tennessee, sometime after "one giant leap for mankind" and sometime before the death of disco. With a degree in communications/theatre arts from Boston College, Reese continued his education in Chicago at the sundry training centers of The Second City, The Improv Olympic, and The Annoyance. After working with numerous improv and sketch companies as a performer and director, he moved to New York and founded Amnesia Wars Productions in 1997. Reese has continued his education by working in various capacities for such companies as the New York Shakespeare Festival / Public Theater, The Wooster Group, and Pilobolus Dance. Survivor: Vietnam was first published in the NYTE anthology Plays and Playwrights 2004 and his adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was first published in the NYTE anthology Playing With Canons: Explosive New Works from Great Literature by America's Indie Playwrights. Other playwrighting credits include: Keanu Reeves Saves the Universe (the sci-fi parody adventure EVER!), Reese's Pieces (a collection of short plays), the radio serial Tad Granite, Private Eyeball, and contributions to the libretto of Kamala Sankaram's opera Miranda. Upcoming projects include a heavy-metal rock-opera, and the vaudeville style musical revue Yahweh's Follies: a hysterical history about your favorite god.

Miranda
Synopsis:
Who killed Miranda Wright? Watch this reality TV taping of "the Whole Truth," in which the Jury (the audience) must choose one of three suspects - her mother, her father, her lover - to convict as Miranda's murderer. Miranda is a chamber opera featuring a lush score combining Baroque opera, Tango, Hindustani classical music and Hip-Hop. Six instrumentalists recreate the last day of Miranda's life as they sing, act and play all parts. Guided by robotic host D.A.V.E. (the Differential Autonomous Verification Engine) and the Bailiff who rouses the Jury to respond vociferously at key moments, the Jury must sift through a sea of lies to uncover the truth and decide who must be punished.Miranda combines fantastical steampunk costumes and gadgetry with arresting video projections and captivating music.
