All Balls and Ashes

Synopsis:
When Seth (Hot Balls) dies, his cricketing pals Eli and Frank remember a conversation when Seth mentioned that he would like his ashes scattered over the cricket field - otherwise known as Jasper's Bottom; all to the accompaniment of a brass and Morris Men. However, his widow, Freda, has other ideas. She wants to keep his ashes at home to make up for the time he was absent and otherwise engaged at the local 'Cloggers Arms'. the two pals along with George, the pub landlord, decide to steal Seth's ashes quite literally from under Freda's nose. However, this will be a potentially hazardous undertaking. Along the way the bumbling trio will come to realise that they did not know Seth as well as had been thought&

Do You Love Him?

Synopsis:
Ruth, an unsophisticated young woman, on a weekend break at a seaside resort with her boy-friend, Frank, as had a 'falling out' with Frank. On the beach, immature, distraught and troubled, feeling the need to talk to someone she attempts to engage Georgina, an older woman, in conversation. But Georgina does not want company or conversation; she is more interested in the book she is reading, the sights and sounds of a typical seaside. However, with a like history she eventually comes to recognise a kindred spirit, a young woman in need of advice and a little comfort at a time of romantic stress. But there is also another 'link', one from the past followed by a surprise twist when the consequence of Georgina's past is revealed to Ruth.

Spongecake and Branston

Synopsis:
When former schoolmates now pensioners Bert and Fred meet by chance, together with their wives, Edna and Ivy, on the top-deck of a double-decker bus, Edna's home-made sponge cake and Branston pickle begins a bumbling conversation that reveals Edna and Fred are on their way to a funeral. Fred is a retired dustman and Ivy and Bert are on their way to the an edition of the BBC Antiques Roadshow. Bert confides his belief that he's on the verge of a breakthrough and is looking for a source of greenhouse gas. Edna will confounds Ivy when she tells how Bert got his new 'cap'. And Bert reveals that Fred was known in his schooldays as the Phantom, leading to a painful confrontation between all four and the despatching of the two men, followed by an understanding, a meeting of minds between the two women.
