Synopsis:
the play traces the lead character's journey from respectability to degradation and, not usually, but in this play, back to respectability. It will give the audience a vicarious glimpse of the wickedness of demon rum, the debilitation of addiction, and the hope for recovery, all of which led to the enactment of Prohibition. Olio performances between acts will feature songs of the era and a magic show by Margaret Steele, based on the magic of a noted female magician of the 1890s
