Synopsis:
New York City is a GLUE TRAP-the more you move, the more stuck you get. A successful Brazilian actress immigrates to the Big Apple. While cleaning homes, she encounters a myriad of unexpected situations, which she responds to in her own inimitable, highly theatrical style. Moving amongst badly educated photographers, lousy babysitters, and "perfect" men, she deciphers the strange and heartbreaking similarities between all people and the unusual connections one stranger can make to another. Funny, tender, full of loss and redemption, this glimpse into the extraordinary lives of the most ordinary people provides a sense of the confusion, laughter, love, and death inherent in New York City life.Originally from Brazil, writer/performer Sueli Rocha has been living in New York since 1990.
