Curious Tales for Christmas
Thrilling. . .disturbing. . .uncanny. . .Curious Tales for Christmas never takes itself too seriously and yet it pays due respect to the Victorian material. This makes it a perfect antidote to the pantomime for older children and their parents. The Irish Times

Judge's House, The
Synopsis:
He was a notorious hanging Judge. Dozens made the drop because of him, some for the most trivial of crimes and others on the most flimsy of evidence. Forced against his better judgement to adapt "The Picture of Dorian Gray" into a movie set in Celtic Tiger Dublin, troubled screenwriter Malcolm is dispatched to an isolated village in West Cork under orders to meet the deadline. Does he stay in the local Blue Book recommended guesthouse, where the cook knocks up a splendid full Irish and a late check-out is free of charge? Of course he doesn't. He stays in the infamous Judge's House, where he encounters an infestation of rats, several books by Fintan O'Toole and a portrait seemingly with a mind of its own. . . Spine-tingling, knowing and very very funny, THE JUDGE's HOUSE is ideal Halloween entertainment from one of Ireland's great horror writers (Stoker that is, not Roche, although he does show some promise. . .)
Notes:
a modern and slightly controversial adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel

As events unfold on the set, Carter soon suspects that he may have made a grave mistake. . .
Notes:
'Roche's script is a spikenard of playful savagery along with a wealth of sardonic wit. . ..blending the spine-tingling shiver with the knowing smile. . .genuinely chilling. . .Irish Independent

Notes:

Variance
Synopsis:
Jennifer has her hands full with a husband, two kids and every soccer mom's general anxieties. Between school runs, diapers and her perky rival in number 14, life is comfortably dull but all of that is about to change... decadence, destruction and deviance. VARIANCE is the change you won't see coming...
Notes:
"VARIANCE is a tale which tears the heart out of the everyday and seeks to peel away the layers of society to reveal what lies beneath. Sharp, fast paced and unrelenting&Roche's script drags us into a world that is as vicious as it is well constructed." Meg.ie
