Synopsis:
Fili (meaning strings) is a new show by Circus Ronaldo. The air is filled with incense and candles light the darkness, creating a melancholy mood. The Capitano - master of the circus, the servants, the jealous women and a whole host of enchanted characters all try to impress you, but despite everyone's best attempts, things go haywire. The circus show unfolds before your eyes, charming you with its skill, slapstick humor and undeniable magic. Hailing from Belgium, Circus Ronaldo are celebrated across Europe for creating an intimate and enchanting spectacle.

Lazzi

Synopsis:
The delightful Circus Ronaldo from Flanders made its first appearance in Britain for the 1998 Mime Festival. Its two leading clowns, brothers David and Danny Ronaldo - members of a family involved in circus and theatre for six generations - now present their own outstanding show, based on timeless commedia skills and tradition. With just a few suitcases, a pile of plates, a knife or two and a barrel organ, they create wonder, chaos and delight.

Notes:
Devised and performed by David and Danny Ronaldo. Part of London International Mime Festival 2001. The first Festival took place at The Cockpit Theatre and Arts Centre, London NW8, in January 1977. In that year the event was called The Cockpit Festival of Mime and Visual Theatre. It is now the longest running festival of its kind in the world. With the exceptions of 1983 and 1986, the Festival has taken place each year, featuring, in addition to workshops, films, debates and special events, performances by the following artists and companies.
