Caliban's Castle

Synopsis:
A sequel to Shakespeare's The Tempest (if pigs could fly). I wrote this play in a bid to bring Prospero, Miranda and Caliban, characters in Shakespeare's The Tempest, to Milan, and specifically to the 14th century Sforzesco Castle in the heart of the city. For many years, I have imagined Prospero, the Duke of Milan, living there, with his daughter Miranda, before his brother Antonio sent him into exile. The trio, moreover, do not arrive in early 17th century Milan, when Shakespeare wrote The Tempest, but in the present day city.
