Mark Smith
Synopsis:
A filmmaker (unseen during the play) attempts to go behind the music and reveal the background of Mark Smith, a once-famous heavy metal singer. She elicits responses from the people who 'knew him when.' As she gathers more and more information, the filmmaker becomes most interested in the sadness of the people who raised Mark, and the strange experimental music scene taking place in Mark's former music teacher's basement. MARK SMITH explores the kinds of stories that mass media must pass by, and celebrates the possibilities of experimental, DIY art.
