Anna's latest film, "Chasing Chekhov", recently won the BAFTA/LA Best Film Award at the BAFTA /LA Short Film Festival. the film also just won a Special Jury Mention Award at I've Seen Films International Film Festival in Milan, Italy. Chasing Chekhov stars Neil Dickson and is based on Anna's oft produced stage play of same name. Anna also wrote and acted in the award winning films: Coming Into Money and the Red Scarf, produced by her company VisionFire Films, Inc. Although Anna' has added playwright and screenwriter to her life, Anna comes from the Theatre. She played leading roles on stage in London as well as Repertory Theatre throughout the UK. (the Norman conquests, Strindberg's Easter, Plaza Suite; to name a few). Anna studied voice and Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and scene study at the Actors' Centre in London. She also worked with the Young People's playwright's Program at the royal Court Theatre. Roles on TV for BBC (Life At Stake) and ITV (Hammer house of Horror) followed. Anna studied with StElla Adler and Robert Lewis in New York where she played leading roles on Theatre Row and at the Roundabout Theatre as Elizabeth in the Crucible with the Ensemble Theatre Company. She was also busy with commercials and recurring roles on As the World Turns and Another World. In Los Angeles, Anna became a working observer with the Actors Studio and played many roles in independent films (Late Night Girls, the Big Empty, Mortal Hazard, Grumpuss etc) and on Television (Starring on Days of Our Lives, Martial Law, Divorce Court etc): Her LA stage credits include: Lost in the Movies at the Court; Anon, at Playhouse 52, (Echo Theatre Company) and her play, Chasing Chekhov, at Theatre East, the Complex and Women in Theatre Festival. Anna's latest full-length play, Memory's Child, had a staged reading at West Coast Ensemble in November '09. Her one-act play, the Red Scarf, was produced for the One Act Summerfest '09 at the Black Box Theater in Los Angeles. She is a member of Fierce Backbone Theatre Company in LA and is completing a new play as well as several feature film projects for her company.

Chasing Chekhov
Synopsis:
Set in 1898 St Petersburg, Russia. Lydia , a flighty aspiring writer, is in love with Chekhov and in trouble with her husband. She plans a tryst with Anton when Mikhail goes to Moscow on business.
Notes:
A delightful classic; witty And passionate piece. Lydia is mid thirties to late forties. Mikhail, her husband, is late thirties to late forties. One set, minimal props. Running time : 65 - 70 minutes.

Memory's Child
Synopsis:
A sexually intriguing exploration into a teenager's cry for help and her mother's inability to face up to the truth, preferring instead the comfort zone of her fabricated past and her self-centered pursuits as a painter. the mother's obsessions include her passion for Renaissance painting which is inextricably linked to her own forays into sexual pleasure and the lie she continuously refuses to fess up to. Her current boyfriend hinders her redemption while "a blast from the past" forces both she and her daughter to confront their issues head on.
