All Is Almost Still
Synopsis:
Emerging from the absurdist tradition, All Is Almost Still illuminates the struggle between banality and the quest for significance in everyday life. With rhythmic, at times lyrical dialogue, the play involves three nameless characters: a painter, a wistful lackey, and their bedridden master. Denied identities, they are bound together in a search for intimacy, meaning and value. And as time moves from one day to the next, what becomes of them? Have the three lives developed or regressed? What transpires is a radical re-interpretation of the biblical tale of Jacob that both heightens and subverts the original myth. "Channels the works of Beckett (via its existential structure), Ionesco (via its class-consciousness and repetitiveness), and Pinter (via its clipped poetry and silences). there are allusions to Strindberg, to the color spectrum, and, most overtly, to the Bible, especially parts of the story of Jacob. . . Compelling and moving." (Martin Denton, New York theatre Experience)

Antigone : Insurgency
Synopsis:
Antigone : Insurgency presents a provocative reworking of Sophocles' great tragedy from the fifth-century BC. Drawing intriguing connections between the original Greek text and current global politics, this innovative play explores the consequences of combating insurgency, including the capture of alleged terrorists in the name of homeland security, the mistaken confinement of innocent citizens, and the radicalization of world youth. "Riveting theatre, its arguments touching the mind while its emotions engage the heart." (Jon Kaplan, NOW Magazine)

Someone Is Going To Come
Synopsis:
A poetic play of paranoia and sexual jealousy by one of the world's most celebrated playwrights, Someone is Going to Come involves a man and a woman who move to an old, run-down house in the middle of nowhere in order to be alone together. From the beginning, however, they grow anxious that "someone is going to come". And sure enough, someone does come, someone whose presence unleashes hidden jealousies that threaten to shatter the couple's relationship. This all unfolds through Fosse's distinctively austere lyricism, captured in a new English translation by Harry Lane and Adam Seelig.

Talking Masks (Oedipussy)
Synopsis:
Talking Masks is a Dramatic score whose themes collide, clash and harmonize. At its core are a son, two mothers and an absent Father who, in exploring their intertwined fates, fuse two of the world's most enduring myths: the tragedy of Oedipus and the tale of Isaac and Ishmael. What unfolds is a wild progression of rapid-fire interactions that reveal and expose as much as they conceal and mask about the 'charactors'. "Riffs on Sophocles' biggest hit! ****" (Brian Joseph Davis, EYE Weekly)
