Arnold Shelby wrote extensively in his twenties. As he established a career, his writing became purely sales and marketing pieces. Finally at age 65, Shelby vowed he wasnt going to die without trying to write again. In 2014, his two act Ropes and Stone was showcased in Dallas. Last month, Shelby was a finalist in a one act competition in San Diego. Acceptance in the Samuel French festival is an honor and a challenge to do more and do it better. Shelby lives in Dallas, Texas. He works every day and writes every night  and twice on weekends.

Synopsis:
o Youre Her is a one act play set in an ER hospital room. Caitlin, the patients friend is waiting for Tina, his wife they had never met before. Why would they? They have much to talk about  more than they thought.

Notes:
The Samuel French staff would like to congratulate the 30 playwrights selected to participate in the 40th Annual Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival! Chosen from nearly fifteen-hundred submissions (a record breaking number) both in the U.S. and abroad, these 30 plays will be presented in New York from August 3  9, 2015. Out of these plays, six winners will be selected by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.
