Nina Shengold won the Writers Guild Award for her teleplay Labor of Love, starring Marcia Gay Harden, and the ABC Playwright Award for Homesteaders. Her one-act plays have been produced throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Europe, Asia, and New Zealand; No Shoulder was filmed by Suzi Yoonessi and screened at Tribeca Underground, the Woodstock Film Festival and others. With Eric Lane, Shengold has edited eleven Theatre anthologies for Viking Penguin and Vintage Books. Her first novel, Clearcut (Anchor Books, 2005) was chosen as one of the year's best books by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, San Francisco Bay Times, BookMarks and Out.com.
