It would appear unnatural for anyone to turn down a million dollar singing contract, right? Especially, if the offer was extended by the record label that molded the careers of musical legends Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder. But when fate demanded the attention of closet writer, Nedra Simone, her response to the offer was a solid, "No thank you". Born on January 22, 1976, this Detroit native discovered at a young age that she was not the least bit flattered by the limelight. Instead, she trusted her intuition, and with the encouragement of her sister, she redirected her energy into her first love-writing. If the saying is true that success is at the intersection of opportunity and preparation, then Nedra Simone was more than prepared when the opportunity presented itself to her at a well-respected Atlanta radio station. the project not only proved to be a huge success-it served as further evidence that she was destined to be a writer. With concentrated effort and undeniable determination, Nedra Simone completed her first stage play in one week. Her freshman effort, Lighting Strikes Three Times, successfully premiered on August 11, 2002 at the 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, GeorgiA. This step was the first of many that helped pave the way to her reign as the Queen of Stage Plays. In 2005, Nedra Simone received rave reviews for her sophomore stage play, Pretty People, Ugly Ways. the Rialto Theatre and the Florida Theatre were just two major Theatres among many others who praised her remarkable work. From screenplays to stage plays, her undeniable ability to make words do exactly what she wanted them to do, soon caught the attention of movie mogul Robert Townsend. Shortly after, she put the pen to work and inscribed a screenplay [Guilty Innocence] for the Dramatic series, "Townsend's Playhouse 22" which aired on the Black Family Channel. Now at the top of her game, the Queen of Stage Plays, does not limit her talent to just one genre. She brings to life show-stopping, real life experiences that appeal to the likes of "trap boys" and devout Christians-the same. Her plays have become common grounds for entertainment to people from all walks of life. With multiple plays [Secrets Men Keep, Voices, and A Dancer's Story] under her belt, and with a new television show in the works [In Bed With], the sky is the limit for this talented writer!

Synopsis:
Would happen if one day you woke up just to be told that you have less than a month until you would lose your voice and never speak again. Not too bad huh, you could deal with it? Unless of course your voice was your means to living and not to mention your life long dream.(That's "ONE") What if next you were offered the career opportunity of a lifetime, one that you had worked so hard for? It's the chance that guarantees continuous wealth, and success beyond your wildest dreams. But when it finally comes. . ..it's too late! (That's "TWO") You could deal with it if you had to. . ..right? But what if after all of this there's something even more devastating to come? What do you do, when at the end of this dark tunnel, out of no where you're being surrounded by two speeding headlights, a bouncing ball, a drifting stranger, a squirming child and no voice for a final warning? (That's "THREE") What would you do? Who would you turn to? Where would you go? And what questions would you ask your GOD?

Secrets Men Keep You would think that in such a media and tabloid driven society,it would be close to impossible to keep anything a secret now a days. After the usual question of "WHY", does a man cheat on his wife? the next question would have to be "HOW". When does he find the time, energy and extra cash (especially when money is already funny. . .and I don't mean HA HA funny)? Do the words love; honor and "COMMIT" hold no longevity or meaning anymore? And what about the "SHORT MAN" thing, why do those that suffer from this plague of being "vertically challenged" tend to wear this Armour of attitude; challenging all those who approach him. Is the physically, mentally and emotionally abusive man, simply suffering from a bad case of "MANNERS"? On the other hand, can the issue of a persons self worth (or lack there of) be the real reason behind a man's rage. Finally, how is one, not suppose to "sweat the small stuff" when dreams of living large "In between the sheets" is a huge issue? I know that people say, "Looks don't matter". But on the topic of love and like "DOES SIZE MATTER"? they say that some "SECRETS" are better left untold!
