Synopsis:
An emotional dramatization of the triumphant and tragic life of Jackson Pollock (1912-1956), leader of the Abstract Expressionist movement in American modern art. The play charts Pollock's rise to fame in the 1950's, his impact on the art world's shift from Paris to New York, his continual struggle with alcoholism, and his eventual self-imposed demise. It also explores the relationship between Pollock and his wife, Lee Krasner, who, out of love and unwavering belief in her husband and his talent, sacrificed her own promising painting career to further his.
