Synopsis:
Violence and paranoia erupt in the basement of a United States Homeland Security office as something ancient and malignant begins to stir behind the walls. Two trapped agents and their guests are forced to battle with a new kind of terror. America's Slippery Rock theatre, creators of previous Edinburgh Fringe Festival five star fright-fests: Deepchurch Hollow, Dark North, and the Margins, proudly present the Barwell Prophecy, a new play of supernatural horror written and directed by David Skeele. Electra: An American Gothic

Synopsis:
This Greek tragedy is thrust into a landscape of deep-seated rivalry and war amidst the hillfolk of the Appalachian Mountains. Blinded by hatred and driven by her need for vengeance, the spirited Electra reveals how destructive one can be when pride is the only thing they have left. This fast paced 60 minute tragedy, written by David Skeele, directed by Gordon Phetteplace, and underscored by live Americana folk music, serves as a solemn reminder about the evils of revenge and the power of a vow.
