And a Child Shall Lead

Synopsis:
This is the heroic and true story of children coming of age in Terezin, the "Jewish city" established by the Nazis near Prague as a way station before the death camps. In the face of unspeakable horror, these children use their determination and creativity to build lives filled with hope and beauty -- playing, studying, making art, and writing an underground newspaper -- all at the peril of being executed. their actual poems and stories are woven into a fast-paced Drama, evoking the universality of children caught in the insanity of war.

And the Curtain Rises

Synopsis:
And the Curtain Rises loosely re-imagines the theatrical bedlam surrounding the creation of the first American musical. Set in 1866, this classic backstage tale follows novice producer William Wheatley as he finds his production in shambles: bruised egos, secret plots, romance, some skimpy costumes, an uncompromising author, and a cast on the verge of revolt. All is complicated when a French ballet troupe is forced to seek refuge in his theatre after a fire erupts in an adjacent theatre. Rather than throw in the towel and count his losses, Wheatley decides to take control and turn lemons into lemonade. Filled with outrageous characters and rich melodies, and reveling in the chaos and camaraderie of the theatre, And the Curtain Rises is a lovely valentine to an unique American art form

Change

Synopsis:
In 1964, three high school valedictorians reflect on the one recent event none of them will ever forget -- the assassination of President Kennedy. In early 2002, a middle school student becomes convinced that Al-Qaida terrorists lurk in the midst of his sleepy small town. And on November 5th, 2008, two young mothers from very different backgrounds consider what Obama's victory means for the future of their children. By turns poignant and funny, this look back on watershed moments in American history is an honest examination of change's immense power.
