Andrew J. Smith attended SUNY Oneonta where he Majored in English and Secondary Education. While attending Oneonta, he was heavily involved in the Theatre department. During his senior year, he wrote his first show, a book musical revue titled Juice and Cookies. He produced and directed it in March of 2004 with great success and founded 4 Am Productions to produce his work. Shortly after he graduated, he returned to Oneonta during October 2004 to direct and produce an his newest work, Misfits are Monsters Too!, a comedy geared towards children. In March of 2005, Andrew wrote, directed, and produced the comedy Juice and Nuts at the New York Comedy Club. Fall of 2006 saw Andrew returning to school. He was accepted into the Masters of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre program at San Diego State University. For his thesis work, Andrew wrote another book musical revue, Stupid Cupid. This fall, Andrew worked with Omri Schein and Anna Ebbesen and co-wrote the book and lyrics to the original musical Manscape, which is scheduled for a staged reading February 09. Currently, Andrew is working as an actor throughout the country, but is also in the midst of his latest project, an original musical focusing on 8 New Yorkers lives during September 10 and 11, 2001. Juice and Cookies

Synopsis:
A support group is meeting, much like A.A., except the support group is for musical theater lovers. the group leader begins to take volunteers to discuss their personal problems. Each character stands, states their name, and begins their story. Each character focuses on a specific decade. Finally, after each character has told their story, the group leader confesses he is actually holding this meeting to celebrate their love of the genre, not cure them of it. they finish the rest of the meeting singing and rejoicing in Musical theatre.

Notes:
Juice And Cookies, Although slightly Adult in humor, can be A great study tool for middle/high schoolers interested in the genre As it covers musicals from 1943 (Oklahoma!) to 2000 (Ragtime, the Full Monty).

Juice and Nuts

Synopsis:
Dr. Rabinowitzstienbergman at Chock Full O' Nuts Psychiatric Center has decided to treat his patients by using theatre and improv games instead of traditional medicine. When Wally Wallington visit's the hospital, hoping to commit his grandfather, he meets a female patient and falls for her immediately. He then decides to admit himself to be with her. Once in, he realizes he may have bitten of more than he can chew!

Notes:
Original production was done with very minimal set pieces, yet the show has potential to be As big or small As you like.

Misfits Are Monsters Too!

Synopsis:
Misfits Are Monsters Too! tells the tale of Susie, a young girl who loves scary movies, books; any and everything scary. One night, she is visited by Scaredy Ghost, head of the Misfit Monster Actors of Frightville, who comes to ask her for help in making himself and his friends more scary; scary enough to become monster movie stars. But things get tough when she is faced with head of the movie business, Mr. Deville, and head of the actors union, a British Blue-blood Sasquatch named Sir Harry Beast. Crazy antics and hystErics ensue from beginning to end.

Many of the parts can be double, And in some cases, tripled.
