Kenley Smith is a distinguished graduate of the Playwright's Lab at Hollins University, where he also earned an M.A. in Creative Writing in 1982. He is the founding patron of Studio Roanoke, a black-box Theatre devoted to the development and production of new works. He served as the first president of Studio Roanoke's Board of Directors, and is now the Artistic Director. He is a member of the Dramatist's Guild. A native of Beckley, WV, Kenley currently resides in Bent Mountain, VA.
