Return of Savonarola, The
Synopsis:
Following his five star sell-out play An Evening with Dementia, Trevor T Smith's brand new drama premiers at the Fringe. Savonarola returns from the afterlife with an idealism to inspire and lead us forward six centuries later. He was whistleblower on church corruption, stood up to the multinational banking houses of the Medici a thorn in the side of the Vatican! He brought new awareness to the Florentine nobility of their wealth and vain lifestyles. Where is the Savonarola in each of us today? Brilliantly acted with much food for thought!
