Blind Hamlet
Synopsis:
Blind Hamlet transforms Shakespeare's tragedy into an interactive theatrical battle and reimagines the bloody struggle for Hamlet's Elsinore. Volunteers take to the stage to outwit each other as a different power-struggle unfolds at each performance, with Hamlet turned on its head and every spectator a player. Iran's leading playwright, Nassim Soleimanpour wrote the critically acclaimed White Rabbit Red Rabbit. This, his follow-up, is produced by Actors Touring Company, winner of a 2013 Fringe First Award with The Events. Blind Hamlet reveals how nations and individuals trap each other, and themselves, in their frenzy to tell friend from foe.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit
Synopsis:
I was born on Azar 19th, 1360 in Tehran. Thats Tehran, December 10th, 1981 in Christian years. . . Imagine being 29 and forbidden to leave your country. Nassim Soleimanpour dissects the experience of a whole generation in a wild, utterly original play from Iran. Forbidden to travel, he turns his isolation to his own advantage with a play that requires no director, no set and a different actor for every performance. In addition, the actor reads it cold(s)he only receives the script just before going on stage.
