Mary was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, two cow fields away from the Broadway Drive-In Movie Theater. In high school she wrote THIS ISN't EXACTLY HOW I EXPECTED IT, WINNNIG 1st Place in the DramaTICS MAGAZINE Playwriting Contest. She has been named the winner of the 2006 Helford Prize for playwriting. Mary's work has been produced in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and other cities nationwide. Her short work, the OLD MAN AND the SEED, won 1st Prize in the Hewlett Packard 10 Minute Play Contest and was produced at the Action Theatre in Singapore, fall, 2002. First prize included the trip of a lifetime to Singapore and see her work produced. Mary's work is published by Players Press. She is a member of the Dramatists' Guild. Mary is married to the dashing Steve Lee.

Happy and Gay

Synopsis:
You've seen these women before. they stay in the background, seemingly content to decorate the church fellowship hall with crepe' paper, bring the funeral service casseroles and knit baby shower booties. they've seen it all -- until today. Today, history is being made at the church as it hosts its first gay wedding. Betty worries over the proper "gay" way to hang crepe' paper streamers, while Veronica stresses about what people will say about their preacher's radical decision to use the church for these kinds of affairs. Her fears are deeper and more personal than she will admit.

Isaac, I am

Set in the world of seductive cyber chat rooms and instant messaging, Angela finds herself torn between a budding "real life" romance and a darker online relationship with a family seemingly bent on its own destruction. As she struggles to come to terms with her own feelings of insecurity and loneliness, she is simultaneously pulled deeper into a bizarre cyberspace by the perplexing and emotionally elusive family of Josh, his younger sister Katie and their obsessive father, Isaac. Eventually, Angela's dual worlds of reality and "virtu-ality" begin to blur together, until her computer life threatens to devour her whole.
