Eddie Stiven has lived and worked in the West Highlands since 1984, but he hails originally from Ayrshire, and it is the language of South Ayrshire - Lowland Scots - which he melds with Scotland's cultural heritage of Balladry, Myth and Legend, to create many of his unique and atmospheric plays. His more recent work is based on historical and contemporary themes from Scotland's diverse culture.
