Elaine Stritch (b. Feb 02, 1925 Detroit, Michigan, USA - d. Jul 17, 2014 Birmingham, Michigan, USA) was a brassy, tart-tongued Broadway actress and singer who became a living emblem of show business durability and perhaps the leading interpreter of Stephen Sondheim's wryly acrid musings on aging. She was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1995.
