1616 in the Flemish village of Flackenburg. A Spanish Duke and his entourage descend on the village. In the hopes that he will go away the Mayor pretends to be dead. But the Duke proceeds to woo his "widow"

Strictly Dishonorable

Synopsis:
1929. A young girl from a small town in Mississippi travels to New Jersey to be with her fiance. She does not really love him but the marriage will make her financially comfortable. At a speakeasy one night an opera singer chats her up and they go back to his apartment. they make love - but then he goes off and sleeps in another room. the fiance turns up and gets the brush-off. A kindly judge intervenes between the young girl and the opera singer. they declare their love and prepare to get married
