Hearing Voices

Synopsis:
This is her personal account of life on an NHS ward, combined with testimonies she gathered from other mental health service users who were in hospital with her. A courageous and extraordinary account of how people are treated once they enter the ward of a mental hospital. Unless you have survived this system yourself (in which case you will recognise it as all too truthful) this will challenge every assumption you ever had. A one-off theatrical experience written and performed by Clare Summerskill herself with members of her theatre company, Artemis (of 'Gateway To Heaven' renown).

Melody Lane
