Brother's Wife, The
Synopsis:
Jocelyn and Penny Taylor run a successful book publishing business and live in a smart house in the suburbs. Jocelyn has a younger brother Rod who is married to Mary. Rod has always lived in Jocelyn's shadow and Mary has always been envious of their lifestyle. Joss and Penny discover that Rod has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Mary. Rod and Mary argued when she discovered that he had extended the mortgage and borrowed a considerable amount of money to invest in a yacht chartering business. The business proposition was a con and they stood to lose everything. Rod goes on a drinking binge and the first he knew about Mary's demise was when the Police arrested him. As the plot unfolds we discover that Rod was innocent all along, however, Joss had been having a secret affair with his PA Susie, and in an effort to wreck Joss and Penny's marriage she murders Mary. As Joss attempts to hide his affair with Susie they have a fight and Susie is accidentally stabbed and dies. Another cast member meets her demise as Joss panics when a neighbour calls.

In an effort to conceal the matter from the Editor -in-Chief, Jill persuades another colleague Richard Robbins to delete a crucial email from the editors computer for £2000 but in doing so he is caught rummaging around in the editor's desk where he finds lurid photographs and a wig. Jill seeks Ray's help to resolve the ever increasing mess she is getting into and he reluctantly agrees to cover up for her. Richard and Jill arrange to meet for him to be paid, but Jill doesn't have the money and impulsively suggests that Ray will pay him.
